TODAY’S PRAYER – A prophet of old, not so familiar to most, and yet he said something that has always impacted me. Azariah, son of Oded, said to King Asa of Judah, a righteous king most of his life: “Asa and all Judah and Benjamin, hear me. The LORD is with you when you are with him. If you seek him, he will be found by you, but if you abandon him, he will abandon you.” (2 Chronicles 15:2). My prayer today is “God will be with me and this congregation because we are with You. Yet we will continually seek You and because of Your faithful love by the covenant of Christ, You will always let us find more of you. Let us never forsake you, for nothing is worse than being forsaken by God. Amen.”
