Advice to Younger Preachers from an Older Preacher
You can’t control how talented you are, or how you are compared to more talented preachers. You can’t control how intelligent you are, or how you are compared to more intelligent preachers. You can control how hard you work. And even then remember this, “But by the grace of God I am what I am, and his grace toward me was not in vain. On the contrary, I worked harder than any of them, yet not I, but the grace of God that was with me” (1 Corinthians 15:10). Work hard because of God’s grace.
