Left Wing vs Right Wing Pharisee – Matthew 5:20; 23:3
If we are too busy trying to change what people believe, to be changed into Who we believe, then we are either a “Left Wing” or “Right Wing” Pharisee.
If we go from “only this way” to “any way”, but have in no way been changed inwardly from above, then went to a “Left Wing” from a “Right Wing” Pharisee.
If we feel “holier than thou” by thinking either how we love through worshipping God, or how we love through serving others, is more important than the other, then we are either a “Left Wing” or “Right Wing” Pharisee.
If our righteousness does not exceed that of the scribes and Pharisees, then we are not better than a “Left Wing” by being a “Right Wing” Pharisee.
Since Jesus is the only One who is not guilty of any of the above, then I need Him. No one can be saved by either being a “Left Wing” or “Right Wing” Pharisee.
