Romans 1:20 – More Vast than the Universe
As vast and seemingly infinite as the universe is; the mind of man is even more so for the universe has no self-awareness, but man is self-aware, aware of the universe, and even beyond. So if the universe declares God’s invisible attributes, His eternal power and divine nature, and if this has been clearly seen since the creation of the world, it is because it is being understood by the mind of man that God has made. Consequently, the mind of man itself declares God’s invisible attributes, His eternal power and divine nature and is superior to what is perceives, and only inferior to the One it perceives. Therefore, to deny the existence of God is as incomprehensible as denying awareness of the existence of one’s self. And I dare say the mind and imagination of man is vaster and seemingly more infinite than what the mind perceives the universe to be.
