The Purpose of the OT

Thought Questions from Class on the Purpose of the OT:

1) Which came first, the OT or NT? (don’t think obvious)
2) Why not begin with the NT?
3) Is the OT mainly stories (narrative) with commands or commands with stories (narrative)?
4) Why do we (or do we) learn better from stories than commands?
