Genesis 2-4 – Breakdown of the Family
In the beginning there were two relationships abandoned: 1) Eve was Adam’s helper, yet she led him into sin, leading to their eventual deaths. 2) Cain asks what he thinks is a rhetorical question but has the wrong answer. It too led to the death of brother. Eve was Adam’s helper, but did not. Cain was his brother’s keeper, but was not. We see the same things today, even when not leading to physical death. What is the number cause of so much of society’s ills? The breakdown of the family. Family needs to take care of family.
