Satan’s Counterfeits
Why are we surprised? Satan counterfeits everything God creates, designs, and orders.
Why are we surprised Satan mocks the one-flesh relationship of a man and woman (Matthew 19:1ff)? Same-sex marriages, divorce for any cause, promiscuity before and during are his wars against fidelity and purity. Here Satan is synonymous with the World.
Why are we surprised Satan confuses the minds of many so that God’s creation of male and female (Genesis 1:26-28) is even questioned? Two is now expanded to 20-30 genders! Satan is here wearing the name of false tolerance by counterfeiting proper tolerance.
Why are we surprised Satan turns those who want to worship God into their own demonic gods? Sincerely they worship according to what pleases the flesh thinking it pleases God. If it sounds impossible for Christians to become so self-deluded as to worship demons and call it good, read 1 Corinthians 10:14-22. Here Satan disguises himself as openness.
Why are we surprised Satan builds his own churches? If how we worship doesn’t matter, then 1 Corinthians 11 is a waste of restoring the Lord’s supper! If how we are organized is up to us, then why spend so much time on elders and deacons (1 Timothy 3; Titus 1)? “Choosing the church of your choice” sounds very American and capitalistic. Satan wears the false mask of freedom.
Teach your children Satan is trying to fool them by buying their God-given affections with his counterfeits.
