We the people of the church of our Lord Jesus Christ, in order to form a more perfect union of fellowship, establish God’s divine justice of forgiveness among the lost, insure spiritual tranquility within, provide for the common defense against Satan, promote the general welfare of its members, and enjoy the blessings of spiritual liberty to ourselves and our posterity, do follow and respect God’s inspired constitution for the church of our Lord Jesus Christ.
