I am a firm believer in complimenting my wife’s cooking. She is great. For those of you who have kitchen-challenged wives and mothers, I want to help you find something positive to say. Here’s a list of compliments:
- My compliments to the chef…Boyardee (which is redneck for “boy are these” good!)
- Thanks for helping me stay on my diet!
- Dinner sure was warm and filling!
- The seasoned salt was good!
- You sure are good at making sure we have plenty of leftovers!
- These biscuits will make great door stops!
- Honey, you can microwave with the best!
- The dog will love this!
- Your gravy is great at covering up (fill in the blank)
- This is the best dinner I’ve had today!
- No one cooks like you!
- You’ve taken the art of Blackened cooking to a whole new level!
Remember, say these with enthusiasm!
And don’t forget to offer to help to clean up by saying, “Honey, if you need any help after you get done, let me know!”
