- If you believe you can call others an idiot as long as you don’t call them a fool, you just might be a Pharisee (Mt.5:22).
- If you believe you can offer worship to God instead of offering repentance to your brother, you just might be a Pharisee (Mt.5:23-24).
- If you believe faithfulness to your wife is simply not cheating on her, you just might be a Pharisee (Mt.5:27-28).
- If you believe you can no-fault divorce your wife and it won’t lead to more fault, you just might be a Pharisee (Mt.5:31-32).
- If you believe you can break a promise because you didn’t swear, you just might be a Pharisee (Mt.5:33-37).
- If you believe you can show righteous indignation by hurting others as badly as they have hurt you, you just might be a Pharisee (Mt.5:38-42).
- If you believe you only need to treat kindly proper folk like you, you just might be a Pharisee (Mt.5:43-47).
- If you believe it is important to tell others how much good you do, you just might be a Pharisee (Mt.6:1-4).
- If you believe long prayers are holy prayers, you just might be a Pharisee (Mt.6:5-8)
- If you believe you are to wear your religion for all to see, you just might be a Pharisee (Mt.6:16-18).
- If you believe a rich Christian is a good Christian, you just might be a Pharisee (Mt.6:19-24).
- If you believe it is your job to point out everyone else’s sins except your own, you just might be a Pharisee (Mt.7:1-5).
- If you believe you are good enough and better than most, you just might be a Pharisee (Mt.7:9-11).
- If you believe “acts of worship” is just what you do on Sunday and not who you are on Sunday through Saturday, you just might be a Pharisee (Mt.5-7).
- If you believe you can break God’s commands by dividing them into little and big sins, you are not even as righteous as an unrighteous Pharisee (Mt.5:19-20; 7:21-23).
