There is no denying the fact that every king of Judah and Israel are religious. None are atheists. None are apathetic in their worship. And yet God is displeased with every king in the North and many in the South. Being religious is not enough. Worshiping is not enough. Even worshiping God is not enough. Worshiping God in His way, that is enough. That is a fact that cannot be denied.
Great post, and great thought. I wanted to post because I come by your site quite often, as I am sure others do, yet I do not always post a comment after reading a post. However, I wanted to comment here and say thanks for sharing your thoughts with us, so that you know that people are reading and enjoying them. I initially started coming here because of your translation posts on the NASB, ESV, and HCSB, and still really enjoy them, yet I also enjoy how you spend time reading strategically through the Bible narrative and posting short, yet powerful “big picture” thoughts, even small side-note thoughts that are powerful and profound.
