God Reproduces in His Creation
Genesis 1 is about God participating within creation although separate from creation. Only by being outside of the material world could he create it. As we know, God’s world functions according to its form, such as every living thing reproducing “according to their kinds” (Gen.1:21,24,25). Then God participates in this reproduction pattern. God is “reproducing” “according to (His-Their) kind” in creating mankind “according to our likeness” (Gen.1:26). Although God is transcendent and separate from creation being eternal; God becomes immanent and present and “not far from us” (Acts 17:27) because we are God’s offspring (Acts 17:28-29). God is participating in His creation through you and I being “according to His/Their Kind”. Now let’s function the way God originated – in His image and likeness.
