Perryism – People try to score points with insults when they can’t make a point with intelligence.
It is so easy to tell when someone has no real argument, it’s when they become argumentative. An example of this is Acts 24.5 where Tertullus calls Paul a pest (NASB) or plague (HCSB). So when you get insulted, just smile and be silent, because they just showed they have no real answers. And while you weren’t trying to win the debate, they certainly lost it.
