Question – “It has been a while since I attended church. Any advice for how to get back?”
Response – “Everything goes back to the gospel. So the first thing you need to focus on is the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus. Because there are others who are also focused on the same gospel, you will WANT to be around those who have the same interests in Jesus as you do. You will also discover how you will NEED to be around those who are focused on the gospel. We all help each other to be provoked to love and good works (Hebrews 10:24). These three points are not just for you. Too many are staying away from God’s people and need to refocus on what Jesus has done for them. After a long illness, I personally learned how easy it could be to just stay away.”
