Hebrew 6:3 – If God Permits
The same concept of “if God permits” is found in also in 1 Corinthians 16:7 where Paul writes, “If the Lord permits.” In Corinthians Paul was saying his plan was to spend some time with them later, if the Lord permits. He knew that God’s plans triumphs his plans. In Hebrews 6:3, the writer is expressing the same idea. His plan is to writer further on maturity, if God permits. He knew that God’s plans even in writing this word of exhortation triumphs his own plans. The point is simple, God was in charge via inspiration of what he would write.
