Luke 1:44 – Today’s Uncivil War
Yesterday marked the 150th anniversary of the Civil War which began over State Rights where “the State” was wrong. That’s why I cannot celebrate today “The Southern Cause,” although constitutionally I believe they had the right to secede. Problem is, they abused that right to deny the rights of others. Therefore they used the rights of the constitution to deny the rights of the constitution. The American Revolution was about recognizing rights. The Civil War was about denying rights. But before there were rights of the State, there were rights of the people. “We the people” includes all the people. Too many then forgot that Indians and Blacks were people too created by their same God. And today too many fail again to acknowledge all the rights of all the people. The rights are not from Government, and cannot be bought or paid for, nor even voted on to grant. They are from God and inherent. The right of life for the unborn is today’s and tomorrow’s civil right. Slavery might be America’s “original sin,” and America’s “peculiar institution.” The “Christian Nation” called America continues to sin in a peculiar way – denying the rights of the unborn. Today there is an uncivil war where the battlefield is the womb.
