Romans 1:3-4 – Son of God; Spirit of Holiness
This passage is remarkably similar to Luke’s account of Jesus’ birth. One is a birth into the world for the first time; the second is a rebirth into the world a second time.
- Luke 1:32 NASB “He will be great and will be called the Son of the Most High; and the Lord God will give Him the throne of His father David;
- Luke 1:35 NASB – The angel answered and said to her, “The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you; and for that reason the holy Child shall be called the Son of God.
- Romans 1:3 NASB concerning His Son, who was born of a descendant of David according to the flesh,
- Romans 1:4 NASB who was declared the Son of God with power by the resurrection from the dead, according to the Spirit of holiness, Jesus Christ our Lord,
Of course, both Luke and Paul were good friends.
