Romans 15:7 – Therefore Accept One Another
Rom 15:7: “Therefore accept one another, just as Christ also accepted you, to the glory of God.” (CSB). Unless and until we understand how Jesus’ accepts us, we will accept those whom Christ rejects; and reject those whom Christ accepts. The how and why is we are declared righteous, which we are not, by faith. Too many think that means without the “obedience of faith” (Romans 1:5; 16:26). Too many think that means others have to agree with them on everything – notice how Romans 15 follows Romans 14 (duh!). Justification by faith means that when we trust Jesus enough to do what he says, that trust compensates for when we don’t and haven’t done what Jesus says. To God be the glory!
