Genesis 3 – Too Sophisticated for Satan
Modern Man is too sophisticated and liberated to believe in a myth called Satan. Freud set free our subconscious and Darwin ridiculed our religion. That cannot be Satan whispering in our ear, nor the Devil plaguing our dreams. It is only us, even an “us” unknown by us. And that story – that myth – of “in the beginning” there was a serpent that spoke with forked tongue is explained away by a Freudian psychology casting literalism out of the garden through a Darwinian survival of the academic fittest. Intellectual snobbery has robbed us of what we are afraid of believing – that there is an absolute evil set on our destruction. To believe such is to admit a realm beyond the rationally explained and naturally occurring. Modern Man has fallen all over again to the lies of Satan. We once again have tasted the fruit of our superficial superiority to become our own gods. And as gods, we do not believe in Satan. (except from upcoming book – “Face to Face with Satan”)
