Leviticus – Law, Grace and Love

Leviticus is a book of law, grace and love. Obeying sacrificial laws bring us grace undeserved because of other laws broken. Amazingly, these and other laws can be divided into two love categories: The First Great Commandment of Love (chs.1-16); The Second Great Commandment of Love (chs. 17-27). Law, grace, and love is being holy as God is holy (Lev.11:44,45; 1 Pet.1:16). As a sign of law, grace and love combined in the foreshadowed Christ, almost half of the occurrences of “the 8th day” occur in Leviticus and Jesus was raised on the 1st Day which in the first century was also called the 8th Day. Jesus is the perfect law keeper, the perfect grace giver, and the perfect gift of love.
