False Gospel #2
If there is a true gospel, there are false gospels as Satan counterfeits the real deal (Galatians 1).
Jesus’ resurrection means ours! He died physically because we die physically in order to defeat the last enemy which is physical death. Victory is through His resurrection (1 Corinthians 15).
His physical death, because of blood shed, allows forgiveness of sins, which defeats the first enemy which is spiritual death.
So through His physical death and bodily resurrection Jesus defeats Satan on two fronts and now reigns in heaven awaiting the last day when Satan will be fully defeated having death defeated.
So the gospel is the death, burial, resurrection, and reign of Jesus. Without a bodily resurrection, the last enemy is not defeated and Satan reigns over death!
If your theology teaches there is no bodily resurrection, then you don’t have the gospel.
1) Who Jesus is – King; 2) What Jesus did – Sacrifice; 3) What those 2 things mean to us – Submission and Salvation.
That’s the gospel!
