Holy and Profane Language
OK, Christians. We know the world likes to use profane language, and then to profane it more by adding, “Holy S!” and such. So why are Christians not only using the euphemism “crap” but profaning their language by saying, “Holy crap!”
Did you know during the Wilderness Wanderings, Israel had to go outside of the encampment with a shovel for a certain bodily function so as to not profane the camp?
Why be as close to the world in language as possible “without sinning”?
Why take the word “holy” which describes God’s name, and apply it to the common and worse?
Why not be holy as God is holy?
