If You Can’t Find it All in One
“You can’t go to one scripture to find everything a church does as worship, therefore how do we know what to do?”
“You can’t go to one scripture to find everything a person does to become a Christian, therefore how do we know what to do?”
Those questions have been asked, some sincerely and others to mock “scripture jumping”. While scripture hopping can be done with dangerous consequences and ill motives, consider how this next question shows how necessary and common it is and that all agree that such is normal…
“You can’t go to one scripture to find everything God is, therefore how do we know what He is?”
Or here is another….
“You can’t go to one scripture to find everything Jesus fulfilled as Messiah, so how do we know which prophecies He fulfilled?”
The answer is the same for all, “search the scriptures”…all the scriptures…”He told them, “These are my words that I spoke to you while I was still with you — that everything written about me in the Law of Moses, the Prophets, and the Psalms must be fulfilled.”” (CSB’17 Luke 24:44)
