In the Beginning Male and Female
Jesus said God made them Male and Female in the beginning (#1). Jesus said God made male and female in the beginning. Since then, males and females have made males and females – Him’s and Her’s, He’s and She’s. If we can’t accept the truth that God made us male or female, then we won’t be able to accept other truths about God or ourselves such as God loves us and calls us to repent of our sins. How can we accept the spiritual truth which we can’t see if we reject the physical truth right before our eyes?
Jesus said God made them Male and Female in the beginning (#2).
How do we show compassion to those claiming to be other than male or female? We cannot out-compassion Jesus. He is our model. Jesus compassionately filled people’s needs. There’s one aspect of Jesus’s compassion missing too often in today’s use of this word:
Mark 6:34 (NASB2020) When Jesus went ashore, He saw a large crowd, and He felt compassion for them because they were like sheep without a shepherd; and He began to teach them many things.
Jesus proves compassion deals with problems by teaching. If we are willing to feed the hungry in love, we must be willing to share God’s truth in love – which includes ourselves. Jesus said to pray for people to teach as compassion demands (Matthew 9:36-38).
Teach compassionately and teach because of compassion. We can’t out-compassion Jesus by removing truth from compassion.

I’m going to prove three controversial propositions:
- Trans-activisits do not believe that terms can be forced on people.
- We can’t self-identify contrary to how others identify us.
- Truth exists.
I treat people the way I want to be treated, which is the Golden Rule. I value truth. Unless we value a lie, either we value truth or deny truth exists.
In a discussion with a “trans-activist”, I stated I do not identify as “cis-male” because I reject that term as nondescriptive. The trans-activisit rejected my request and insisted on calling me “cis–male” because “that is what you are”.
Even if unintentional, that proves my three points:
- No one can force another to use certain language since I couldn’t force them to use mine.
- We can’t self-identify because they wouldn’t accept my identity.
- They do believe in truth because they insisted I was “cis-male” when I denied that reality as to how I identify.
Contrary to popular opinion and appearance, the battle is not over language, tolerance, or even kindness. The battle is over what is truth.
