Irrational Unbelief
Irrational Unbelief
When speaking with Atheists and Agnostics, a common complaint is, “When I read the Bible, I see a God that does things that I don’t agree with such as….”
So their reason for unbelief is they don’t like the evidence! How would that thinking work in the real world?
“I don’t like the conclusion of this science experiment, therefore science doesn’t exist.”
“I don’t like the way the referees called that game, therefore basketball doesn’t exist.”
Do you see the non-scientific thinking process? Not liking the conclusion is not a reason to disregard the evidence. If someone concludes that God can’t be real because they don’t like what God does, that doesn’t disprove God. What needs to be done is continual study on what you have trouble with. Guess what…we all have questions. God being real has nothing to with what I think.
