Perryism – Self-control is not needed when we want to obey which is why we need self-control.
This Perryism is actually a chiasm:
A – Self-control;
B – Not needed;
C – When we;
D – Want to obey;
C’ – Why we;
B’ – Need;
A’ – Self-control
Plus, within this Perryism there is a PerryDox (i.e., paradox). If self-control is not needed when we want to obey then we need to want self-control when we do not want to obey which implies we want to obey.
