Repent Because God’s Kingdom is NOW

Ten scenarios concerning repenting and God’s kingdom. Which fits you?
But first, what does “Repent for the kingdom of God is near” mean?
• God’s kingdom means God’s rule.
• Repent means to change one’s mind about our sinful actions and thoughts.
Since both John and Jesus made this “mission statement”, God’s kingdom has come in the form of Jesus sitting on the throne.
So in the hope of good theology and accuracy, we will amend thr mission statement to, “Repent for God’s kingdom is NOW!”
1. Just because you don’t want to repent doesn’t mean God’s rule is not here now.
2. Just because you don’t think you need to repent doesn’t mean God’s rule on Judgment Day is not coming.
3. Just because God is love doesn’t mean you don’t need to repent because God’s rule involves rules.
4. Just because not everyone has heard about God doesn’t mean you don’t need to repent because God’s rule is for everyone.
5. Just because you were once baptized doesn’t mean you don’t need to continue to repent because God’s rule is why you were baptized.
6. Just because you have not had a fair life doesn’t mean you don’t need to repent because God’s rule includes punishing the guilty.
7. Just because you disagree with God’s laws doesn’t mean you don’t need to repent because God’s rule means He makes the rules.
8. Just because you stopped going to church because of hypocrites doesn’t mean you don’t need to repent because God’s rule is not why you stop assembling with the faithful.
9. Just because you go to the right church doesn’t mean you don’t need to repent because God’s rule includes those that are His.
10. Just because I missed you in this list doesn’t mean you don’t need to repent because God’s rule is NOW.
