Silent Prayer
A thought about prayer: Recently I taught a class on prayer. It greatly taught me. What also teaches me is needing to pray. For many of you this will make sense. Sometimes you feel “prayed out.” Maybe you feel guilty you have run out of things to say. But….When this happened to me I was still praying, but not saying anything. It is sort of like sitting but not needing to talk to a loved one just because you enjoy their company. “Wordless prayer” is like that. You know you are in the presence of God, comforted by the presence of God, just silent in the presence of God. I learned that again.
