Stop Thinking
Stop thinking. That is not advice generally given since even God said, “Come let us reason together” (Isaiah 1:18). Jesus even asks an “expert”, “What is written in the Law? How do you read it?” (Luke 10:26). God’s way has never been emotionalism led. Thinking leads to emotions, not the other way. And yet, I beg you to stop thinking.
Stop thinking wrongly about others and yourself. In 1 Corinthians 8:2 and 10:12 we have some thinking that needed to stop:
• “If anyone thinks he knows anything, he does not yet know it as he ought to know it”
• “So, whoever thinks he stands must be careful not to fall”
Wrongful thinking comes in these evil forms:
• Thinking I am better than others because I know more than them. Love them.
• Thinking I am better than I am and won’t fall into temptation. Watch yourself.
So, stop thinking.
