Biblical truth standing on its spiritual head to get our eternal attention.

The Day of Pentecost and Feast of Ingathering

The Day of Pentecost is the same as the Festival of Weeks (also known as Shavuot or Feast of Harvest). It is a biblical festival celebrated 50 days (seven weeks) after Passover, marking the end of the grain harvest and, in Jewish tradition, the giving of the Law at Mount Sinai.
In Deuteronomy 16:10 it says, “You are to celebrate the Festival of Weeks to the Lord Your God with a freewill offering that you give in proportion to how the Lord God has blessed you”. In Acts 2 we see the blessing given is Jesus. We give ourselves as the freewill offering by repenting.
In Deuteronomy 16:11 it says, “Rejoice before the Lord your God in the place He chooses to have His name dwell”. In Acts 2 we see everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved, and then the name of the Lord is placed in baptism when we are baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for forgiveness of sins.
Every day is now harvest time. Are you ready to rejoice?
