Mark 1:1-11 – The Four Voices of Confession

  1. Mark – “The beginning of the gospel of Jesus Christ, the Son of God” (1:1)
  2. Isaiah – “Prepare the way for the Lord” (1:2)
  3. John – “Someone more powerful than I will come after me. I am not worthy to stoop down and untie the strap of His sandals” (1:7)
  4. God the Father – “You are My beloved Son in Whom I am well-pleased” (1:11)
