Romans 12 – Where Do You Fit In?
Two goals of every Christian, including (especially) every preacher: 1) Figuring out where you fit in God’s Kingdom; 2) Accepting where you fit in God’s Kingdom. Both require submission. Both require preparation. If you don’t know how God has gifted you in the Spirit (Romans 12), then you can’t fulfill either goal. A Christian doesn’t figure out their gifts except through one way – working in ways they are comfortable and uncomfortable. If a Christian relies only on natural gifts, how is he or she relying on the Spirit? So work until you figure out where you fit in; and work on yourself to accept God’s role. And no, we might not prefer God’s plan. If we did, God wouldn’t need us to submit, would He?
