Jesus is My Sustenance
It was 3:45 AM. Sunday. I woke up. My brain was going places I didn’t want it going. So I thought, “What was Jesus doing at this time on that 1st, 1st day of the week?” Waiting to return to his body? Waiting for the tomb to open so he could walk out of death a free man? What I do know is sunrise was and is coming soon, and when doubting disciples came to the tomb, Jesus was gone because he came back to that dead body, back to that tomb. Why? So that one day I too can defeat death, the ultimate destination of sin, a place my mind was going, but I decided to dwell on Jesus. Jesus is my Sunday’s Sustenance!
