Whether this is an example of coincidence, causation, or correlation, it is an undeniable truth. That is, the Denominations that accept homosexuality also accept women within leadership roles.
I am not saying everyone who accepts the egalitarian position concerning women’s roles accepts homosexuality as acceptable. Rather, the ones who accept homosexuality accept egalitarianism. They are linked doctrinally.
The question is why?
What these two positions have in common is a rejection of Biblical roles between men and women. Egalitarianism teaches there are no separate roles. Homosexuality practices there are no roles since a married couple can be of the same sex.
Again, the question is why?
One answer is a reinterpretation of scripture so that what it plainly says, it no longer means.
And again, the question is why?
Read Romans 1:25 – “For they exchanged the truth of God for a lie, and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever. Amen.
Those who support homosexuality and egalitarianism may not be aware of it, but they are worshipping themselves by following their own “truth”.
That is why.
