Israel is leaving bondage, but is not yet free. The enemy is pursuing. Israel leaves Egypt following a pillar of cloud by day and a pillar of fire for night. Then this pillar divides Israel from Egypt as the Egyptians pursue. The cloud is moved from leading the Israelites to behind them, between the Egyptians […]

Something to consider. Some banter includes namecalling, calling others legalists or liberals to disparage and distance the others from themselves. I’ve been called both. What all such labeling does is to label you in contrast to them. Didn’t the Holy Spirit warn us against comparing ourselves to others to commend ourselves (2 Cor.10:12)? Something to […]

The Garden of Gethsemane is connected to the Garden of Eden, where God walks among men. The cross of Golgotha is also connected to the Garden of Eden. Jordan said the entire Bible has three recurring themes in which I will add a second: Creation – Corruption* – Collapse – Re-creation. I added Corruption (could be called […]

Many churches have objections to partaking the Lord’s Supper every Sunday saying it would lose significance, yet have no problem taking up a collection and telling people “God loves a cheerful giver.” God also loves a thankful taker of His Son’s Supper.

A HISTORY LESSON WITH SPIRITUAL APPLICATION – In 1755 the French-Indian war began. This war between Britain with their Colony allies and France with their Indian allies was fought mainly in the New World for dominance and control of the vast new lands. French power was ended in North America under the Treaty of Paris […]

Satan disguises himself as an angel of light for sinister purposes (2 Cor 11.14) and although Halloween is not specifically addressed in scripture I question the wisdom of the children of light disguising themselves as works of darkness, as witches, warlocks, and even Satan himself even for frivolous purposes.
