John 13:12-19 – Who We Should Be
This is who we are or should be: Servants do not ask to be placated and pleased, they only ask to serve. Disciples do not pretend to judge and cajole, they are content to learn and imitate their Teacher. Christians are not trying to become good enough, better than others, or besting the arguments of others; but becoming better than they are by becoming more like Christ.
