Two Marriages – Type and Anti-type
Ephesians 5:32 (CSB) This mystery is profound, but I am talking about Christ and the church.
Marriage was planned to foreshadow the Christ-Church relationship from the beginning:
1. Two men were put to “sleep”
2. Two men were put to “sleep” on the 6th day.
3. Two men had their sides torn open.
4. Two men then received their brides from being asleep and having their sides torn open.
5. Two brides become one body with their bridegrooms.
The first Adam and the last Adam, who is Jesus Christ, are the two men. The brides are Eve and the church. Together, each “couple” are one body.
Now tell me again that only men wrote the Bible!
