The Sins of Adam
A Pew Moments with Perry – The Sins of Adam:
1. Abdication – Allowed the serpent and Eve to take the lead in his home.
2. Silence – Did not contradict the false teaching serpent nor the false practicing Eve.
3. Participation – Took from Eve what he knew was wrong.
4. Self-absolution – “The woman you gave me” provides rationalization.
Another term for serpents is ASPS:
• A – Abdication)
• S – Silence
• P – Participation
• S – Self-absolution
The serpent in Genesis 3 tempts towards the last sin of Adam:
5. Idolatry – As the serpent became a god to Eve replacing Elohim, so Eve became a god to Adam replacing Elohim.
If we think this pattern isn’t being replicated today, we are as deceived as Eve. Or we are aware… and are willingly falling into the sins of Adam.
