Not “Church of Christ” but “Church…of Christ”
While in a Bible study this week with a seeker, we talked about topics like denominationalism. I asked, “Would you be surprised to hear I am not a ‘Church of Christ Preacher’?” He was! I explained we’re not part of a denomination; and I loved his response: “So this church is not a ‘Church of Christ’, but is a ‘Church (pause) of Christ’! Isn’t that a beautiful way to say it? That pause spoke loudly!
