Does the 7th Day of Creation Prove Days 1-6 Weren’t Literal?

DOES THE 7TH DAY OF CREATION PROVE DAYS 1-6 WERE NOT LITERAL DAYS?
Does what Genesis 2:2-3 says about the 7th day prove the previous six days were not literal?
The argument goes like this:
Unlike the previous six days which conclude, “there was evening, there was morning, the blank day”; the 7th day clearly says, “And on the seventh day God completed His work which He had done, and He rested on the seventh day from all His work which He had done”. There is no mention of the 7th day ending. If the 7th “day” never literally ended it therefore was not a literal day. Then why should we conclude the other days were literal?
Consider these reasons:
1. The other days do say they ended, so regardless of what is NOT said about the 7th day, it IS said about days 1-6.
2. The 4th of the 10 Commandments, which is “keep the Sabbath day holy”, is based upon honoring a literal 7th day because of the previous literal six days of creation (Exodus 20:8-11).
3. But possibly the greatest reason is found in discovering why the text doesn’t mention the 7th day ending. Let’s discuss.
What does God resting on the 7th day mean? Not that God was tired. And more than God stopped creating.
Resting is what God did in His temple-palace, His throne. This is seen in Psalm 132. Moses’s Tabernacle and Solomon’s Temple were based upon the structure of the Garden of Eden (Holy of Holies), Eden (Holy Place), and Earth (Outer Courtyard). Why is this significant? Sitting on the throne indicates God’s rule. Now let’s apply this to Genesis 1-2.
The reason why God said, “there was evening, there was morning, the blank day” is because after each day of creating, God wasn’t done doing something new, God wasn’t done building His home, His place of rule on this earth.
When the 7th day came, God was done creating but He was NOT done ruling. On the 7th day, the day ended, but what didn’t end was what God began – His rule! What continued was not the day, it was God resting on His throne! GOD RULES STILL TODAY!
