The Hebrew for Seraphim (Isaiah 6:2,6) is translated elsewhere as “fiery serpent” (Num.21:6). One commentator suggested a good translation in Isaiah 6 would be “Burning Ones.” The concept of fire and burning is brought out contextually in Isaiah 6:6-7. Makes for an interesting connection to Hebrews 1:7. Makes me wonder what other connections there are.
