Hebrews 5:1-10

A – HIGH PRIEST: 1) For every high priest (archiereus), taken (lambano) from among (ek) men, is appointed for men in things pertaining to God (theos),
B – OFFERED SACRIFICES: that he may offer (prosphero) both gifts and sacrifices for sins (amartia): 2) who can (dunamai) bear gently with the ignorant and erring, for that he himself also is compassed with weakness; 3) and because of this is bound, as for the people, so also (kathos) for himself, to offer (prosphero) for sins (amartia). 4) And no man takes (lambano) the honor unto himself (heautou), but when he is called of God (theos), even as (kathos) was Aaron.
C – SCRIPTURE: 5) So Christ also did not glorify himself (heautou) to be made a high priest (archiereus), but he that spoke to him, “You are my Son (huios), This day have I begotten You:
C’ – SCRIPTURE: 6) as he said also in another place, You are a priest for ever After the order (taxis) of Melchizedek (Melchisedek).
B’ – OFFERED PRAYERS 7) Who in the days of his flesh, having offered (prosphero) up prayers and supplications with strong crying and tears unto him that was able (dunamai) to save him from (ek) death, and having been heard for his godly fear, 8) though he was a Son (huios), yet learned obedience by the things which he suffered; 9) and having been made perfect, he became to all them that obey him the author of eternal salvation;
A’ – HIGH PRIEST: 10) named (theos) of God a high priest (archiereus) after the order (taxis) of Melchizedek (Melchisedek).
