Judgment Day Questions About Worship
On Judgment Day, which question would you prefer from God:
1. Did you worship how I told you to?
2. Did you worship how I didn’t tell you to?
This is the simple difference between two very different approaches to authority:
1. As long as the Bible says we can, then God approves.
2. As long as the Bible doesn’t say we can’t, then God approves.
Here is the problem. “Authority” is related to “author”.
1. Can someone say you have permission if they sign their approval?
2. Can someone say you have their permission if they don’t sign their approval?
This is why I want to answer on Judgment Day, “Yes, I worshipped you how you said to”.
Then Nadab and Abihu, the sons of Aaron, took their respective firepans and put fire in them. Then they placed incense on it and offered strange fire before Yahweh, which He had NOT COMMANDED them. And fire came out from the presence of Yahweh and consumed them, and they died before Yahweh (Leviticus 10:1-2)
