Lessons from Mummies
Lessons from Mummies
A mummified wolf pup found in the Siberian permafrost, contained intact, preserved stomach contents, including DNA from a woolly rhinoceros. Why is this important?
Two important conclusions:
1. After many millennia of a species evolving, such as from a woolly rhinoceros to the hairless rhinoceros of today, the rhino was still a rhino. The evolution was microevolution, within a species. Macroevolution, from one species to another different kind, still hasn’t been proven scientifically. According to Genesis 1, God made animals to produce according to their “kind”.
2. Modern advancements in DNA testing allowed testing of a very advanced DNA system. The discovery of DNA’s complexity convinced Andrew Flew, a famous atheist, that atheism is impossible. He believed in intelligent design as the explanation of life. Sadly, he didn’t yet believe in the God of the Bible. According to Genesis 1, God designed everything and said, “it is very good”.
These are two lessons learned from mummies.
